ACT Prep Courses in Vancouver (Canada)
Preparing to take the ACT? Let Manhattan Review equip you with the tools you will need to achieve top-percentile scores. As you organize your applications for your top choice undergraduate programs, you are likely already aware of the importance of standing out in any way possible. With more and more qualified students applying every year, those who want to remain competitive must be vigilent in crafting an exceptional application. One important way to stand out is to achieve a stellar score on the ACT. This can help you not only to gain admission to selective programs, but also opens doors to scholarship opportunities which can reduce financial stress as you work toward your academic goals.
When preparing to apply to colleges, it is first important to decide whether you will take the ACT or SAT. The exams are largely the same with a few key differences. The ACT has a dedicated section to Science, while the SAT does not. Math assessment is also slightly different between the two. Where the SAT has two sections of math, one with calculators and one without, the ACT allows calculators for the entirety of the exam, and has more of a focus on geometry than the SAT does. At Manhattan Review, we are familiar with both exams and are prepared to offer preparation services for both the SAT and ACT. If you're still not sure which test to take, we offer consultation services to help you decide which test would maximise your percentile ranking.
Since 1999, Manhattan Review has been preparing students to take the ACT and improve their scores. We focus on staying up-to-date on all testing materials and methods so that our students always have a leg up to the competition as they apply to highly selective universities throughout Canada and the United States. Explore our options in Vancouver of small-group preparation courses, interactive online courses and one-on-one private tutoring and consider which will work best for your learning and scheduling needs. Once you have taken advantage of the services we have to offer, you will be able to join our other former students at the many elite institutions nearby in Vancouver such as University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art and Design or go further from home to McGill University, University of Toronto, or Standford University. The choice will be yours once you have attained a top-percentile score!

Meet a Vancouver ACT Tutor: Matthew Z.
Matthew was born and raised outside of Toronto, but felt the call out west after he finished high school, so he attended the University of British Columbia where he earned his bachelors in physics. While he was earning his undergraduate degree, he also started tutoring his classmates in math and physics, where he found a passion for working with people and seeing that 'spark' when they finally conquer a difficult concept. He was accepted to continue his physics studies at UBC where he also brought his know-how to the Manhattan Review team. His clients enjoy his laid-back personality, his in-depth understanding of difficult concepts, and his ability to break things down in a way that is easy to understand.
When he is not studying or working with students, Matthew has recently started learning how to brew and bottle his own beers, which he enjoys to do with his friends. He can't help but to bring his research background into the process, taking meticulous notes and following strict protocol for quality control. He also enjoys participating in game nights where he plays Dominion, Settlers of Catan, and Ticket to Ride, among others.
